Jeffrey worked as the research attorney for the presiding judge of the San Francisco Superior Court in 1986 - 1987.

Jeffrey Rosen's article, "Property Rights of Unmarried `Cohabitants - From Marvin to Equity," was published in 14 Golden Gate University Law Review 745 (1984). Two of Mr. Rosen's reported appellate cases are Hellman vs. Anderson (Aug 1991) 233 Cal App 3d 840 and Miller vs. Provost (July 1994) 26 Cal App 4th 1703.
