Stephen Sherman is a Senior Attorney at Sheppard, Uziel, Sussman and Rosen and an experienced litigation and transactional attorney, who, for over 20 years, has emphasized practice of real estate law, landlord-tenant law, local rent control law, commercial law, tort law and general civil/criminal law.
Stephen Sherman represents clients in a wide variety real estate related matters, including the purchase and sale of real property, disputes over ownership, commercial and residential leases and disputes, real estate fraud and non-disclosure litigation, unlawful detainer litigation, wrongful eviction litigation, breach of contract litigation, hearings before the Rent Boards of San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley, and helping clients with commercial/business matters, and torts claims (both prosecution of claims and defense of parties in such claims).
Before joining Sheppard, Uziel, Sussman and Rosen, Stephen Sherman spent over a decade as an associate attorney with Woo & Associates, a San Francisco real estate litigation firm, and two and a half years as an associate attorney at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran and Arnold, an established commercial and business law firm.
Stephen Sherman received his law degree from the University of California Davis in 1989, where he was a staff editor of the Law Review. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1989. Stephen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Francisco in 1986, where he graduated cum laude.
