Over Four Decades Of Dedicated Client Service

Jeffrey S. Rosen

profile

Jeffrey Rosen, a partner in our law firm, died March 17, 2009, at the age of 50, after a year-long battle with cancer.

During his 24 years in law practice, Jeff Rosen was a skilled and respected litigator in the fields of landlord-tenant, real estate, business, and construction law. He successfully handled business, contract and tort claims for both plaintiffs and defendants. He was considered by colleagues and adversaries alike to be a consummate professional and principled lawyer who did the right thing for his clients and who always strove to achieve fair and just results on his cases.

Jeff became a member of the California State Bar in 1986 after graduating from Golden Gate University School of Law, where his article "Property Rights of Unmarried Cohabitants - From Marvin to Equity" was published in 14 Golden Gate University Law Review 745 (1984).

Jeff worked as the research attorney for the presiding judge of the San Francisco Superior Court in 1986-1987.

Two of Jeff's published appellate cases are Hellman v. Anderson (August 1991) 233 Cal. App. 3d 840, and Miller v. Provost (July 1994) 26 Cal. App. 4th 1703.

A native of Long Island, New York, Jeff received his Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Jeff's clients loved him dearly, his opposing counsel admired him, and Judges, Arbitrators and Mediators respected his vigorous advocacy. Jeff was extraordinary in that he combined humor, compassion, wit, intellect, and curiosity in his quest to be a crusader for justice for his clients.

Jeff was unique as a lawyer in his commitment to be a PROBLEM SOLVER and not a problem maker.

Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends, and he especially loved sports and music.

Jeff will be remembered for his exceptional kindness and grace, for his humanity and personal warmth, and for the tenacity that he brought to the representation of his clients. Our law firm is committed to following Jeff 's tradition of zealous client service.
