Elizabeth Sheppard has successfully litigated thousands of cases throughout Northern California, including dozens of jury and bench trials.
As a Deputy Public Defender from 1987 to 1995, Elizabeth carried a heavy caseload of serious felony cases, homicide cases and misdemeanors.
Elizabeth has also performed family/child advocacy on behalf of parents and children. She has defended clients at hundreds of "Dependency Hearings" prosecuted by the District Attorney's Office. She earned a reputation for compassionately serving her clients and for keeping families intact and unified.
Elizabeth has successfully resolved many of her criminal and family law disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution and Community Mediation -- a cost-effective and non-adversarial process for bringing aggrieved parties together to work out their differences.
Elizabeth broadened her professional interests to include Family Therapy Training, including hands-on individual/group crisis interventions. She is also the proud mother of three daughters.
